It’s absolutely amazing to hear Apple not only deny their vulnerability in the recent hackings, but then to go on and say they’ll (now) raise the level of protection of their customer data.  Of course the same can be said of many other companies who have been hacked.

Has no one heard of risk management?  If you have zillions of bytes of customer data you know someone is going to try to get to it (and this isn’t even including NSA intrusions).  Why do they wait till after such an event, and the impact on their customers, to address such a critical issue in today’s world?
